But I put this at Number 4 because - if downed on solo - for a full seconds you can unload on Georgie using this and he'll just stand there like a lemon. Kinda like a less powerful death machine, really. Every single wall weapon Griffin Station by Dr. Just, try it out for yourself. So it doesn't have a whole lot of ammo but it rips through George's health fairly quickly. This weapon literally made my jaw drop as far as it could possibly go, in merely 30 seconds it drained George's health from full to critical - so much so that I finished him off using the Vanilla Sickle and nothing else.
God forbid you pick up the death machine powerup first round. This will kill George in a matter of seconds, but again take care if you don't have PhD. This is just for stuff I couldn't really fit anywhere else in the guide. Sometimes if you kill Georgie, he'll glitch out and will walk to the player 1 spawn point. He won't be able to hurt you and vice versa while in this state.
When checking the rocks by Quick Revive for George's light, you may hear him tapping his club lightly against something. If you noclip under the water with godmode on so you don't get OHKO'ed you'll see a semi-invisible George. His model is gone, but the sparks that envelop him when "dead" as well as the aforementioned sparks on his light are still there. Judging from the position of the light's sparks, he appears to be tapping the light against his palm idly.
This can be seen more easily if you put notarget on while he's actively chasing you If you put notarget on, you can see how his AI functions a bit more clearly.
For example when he's enraged he'll seemingly randomly smash his light against the floor to slow anyone in the vicinity down. However it turns out he only does that whenever two criteria are met:- A A player is in sight.
B A player is close enough to him. As mentioned earlier, George is not programmed to react to the Thundergun, therefore if he is hit by it, he'll fly off as a ragdoll like a regular zombie. This has the side-effect of him not respawning, as the game doesn't register him as being "dead". George has several unused animations, including death animations. The electricity acts like the electricity from the Wunderwaffe. Zombies can become electrified from George's weapon.
If you melee the Zombies that are electrified, they will shock you and slow you down for a second. If George Romero goes crazy, lead him to some icy water. The icy water will calm him down and make him move slow again. He moves about as fast as a crawler. George Romero also has the power to make Zombies run at top speed.
He will raise his weapon in the air and yell. Would be neat to see. Or is this just me? Also, did anyone notice in the video he mentions getting the VR and it pops up in the box ?? I fould that shocking to say the least. Couldn't figure out what he meant by that, until you explained.
Yeah, its not live commentary. I like to concentrate on the game fully when im playing. Are you all saying that you have to kill him with something other than than V-R11 to get a reward?
Are there other ways to get good rewards from fighting George, or is the V-R11 the only cheap way? Does anyone know if you get the Achievement by doing it the VR way? Or is it just the Scavenger way? You don't need any specific gun to get the achievement all you have to do is kill him without using the VR I killed him on solo and got the chevo using the non-pap crossbow, non-pap raygun and frags with a couple DM's thrown in mix.
GT is the same as my username for any doubters. Also can some one post accurate stats on how many shots are needed to get rid of George temporarily. But if I know how many shots it would take it might be useful. Thanks in advance. PS: Please don't use the word 'kill George' if he is going to come back after few rounds. It is bit confusing. I just get a crawler at the end of the round, have everybody buy the sickle, and chop away until he is dead.
It takes a while, but its cheap. I do this every time on solo so I get all 7 perks, I chop him down every time the wunderwaffe runs out of ammo.
I was playing around earlier today and I think I found a Third way. The Sickle is good to, but Flopper Explosion works to. Problem is there isn't really a good spot to do so except one.
Get George outside of the lighthouse where Staminup is. The so called civillian gun is what you need. The V-R You lure him to where he spawned in the water, shoot him with it, and then troll him with bullets until he dies.
Don't stay in the water though! You'll freeze to death! User Info: tkomast3r Hmmm, well, I know you get points for shooting him when hes outside of the water, but inside he seems to not take any damage from what I can see. Only thing that ive figured out is to use the new Wonder Weapon you can get from the Mystery Box. Doesnt so much "Defeat" him, I wont spoil it for anybody who hasnt used the gun yet.
Other than that, I drilled plenty of bullets into him, and havent killed him. So long as you dont touch him, hes very slow, and shouldnt worry about him too much. You can dive past him if you see an opening if timed correctly, but if you do happen to get close to him, he will be frenzied.
